We’re excited to share that rapidly growing chicken wing favourite Wingstop UKI will be opening a brand-new eatery at Derbion early next year.
Set to launch next to the Food Terrace on Level 2 in February 2026, the new restaurant will bring Wingstop’s world-famous menu to Derby for the very first time. Visitors can look forward to classic wings, tenders and burgers, plus seasoned fries, dips, milkshakes, freestyle drinks and a churros selection for dessert.
Derby foodies will be able to choose from ten bold, award-winning flavours, including Lemon Pepper, Mango Habanero, Hickory Smoked BBQ, Original Hot and Garlic Parmesan. Guests can also enjoy Wingstop’s iconic sauces, from ranch and blue cheese to honey mustard.
Founded in 1994 in Texas, Wingstop has grown into one of the fastest-expanding restaurant chains in the US. Since arriving in the UK in 2018, Wingstop UKI has opened more than 75 locations nationwide and its new Derbion eatery marks the brand’s first-ever location in Derby.
Once open, Wingstop UKI will join our vibrant line-up of more than 30 eateries, including Wagamama, Five Guys, Nando’s, Zizzi and BEAR.
The arrival of Wingstop UKI follows a strong period of investment in food and beverage at Derbion, with recent refits from Chopstix and Zizzi completed earlier this year. Collectively, Chopstix, Zizzi and Wingstop UKI have invested over £1 million into their spaces at the centre.
Beth McDonald, Managing Director of Derbion, commented: “We know that Wingstop is a huge foodie-favourite, particularly with younger shoppers, so we’re delighted to be bringing the award-winning brand to Derbion early next year.
“The arrival of Wingstop will further expand our wide-ranging and ever-growing dining offer and meet the evolving needs of our customers. We’re thrilled that Wingstop has selected Derbion as the destination for its first-ever Derby-based location, and we’re confident that it will be incredibly popular with visitors once open.”
Chris Sherriff, CEO at Wingstop UKI, said: “Wingstop UKI has expanded significantly over the last year, and our new site in Derby will be a crucial continuation of that growth. We’re excited to bring our flavours to a new city and Derbion’s position as a key retail and leisure destination for the East Midlands makes it the perfect home. Thank you to our local community for the continued love and support.”
