What is VR ride?
This virtual reality experience offers a festive, immersive experience for anyone looking for a Christmas treat the whole family can enjoy. Come into Santa’s Magic Cabin and once aboard his sleigh, you will be seamlessly transported to the North Pole where Dash will take you for a trip with surprises and thrills around every corner. Along with the sights and sounds you will experience the incredible range of motions of the sleigh; two front fans and surround sound will offer a full 4D experience. Tilting forwards, backwards and side to side, the sleigh movements have been specially designed to mirror those of the full 360-degree experience, what adventures will Dash take you on?

Where is the VR ride located?
It is located inside Santa’s Magic Cabin on level 1 which is opposite Skechers and next to Clarks.

What age is the VR ride suitable for?
This ride is suitable for the whole family however smaller children may enjoy the ride more without the VR headsets due to their size.

How do I buy tickets for the VR Ride?
Tickets can be purchased in advance via Derbion.com a limited number of tickets can be purchased in Centre at the VR ride ticket desk each day. We do still recommend you book in advance as tickets are limited per day and are likely to get booked quickly. Tickets cannot be refunded or transferred to another date. Please note that you cannot purchase or make changes to your tickets via our Customer Service Desk or Reception.

Will I receive a ticket once I have booked?
Once you have placed your booking, you will receive an e-mail which will include your booking reference confirmation of payment and your E-ticket.

Do I need to print my tickets, or can I just bring them on my phone or smart device?
You can bring your ticket confirmation with you either printed out or on your mobile device. However, your booking reference or booking name will be sufficient for the Elves to find your booking.

Can we take photographs?
You can take personal photos of your family/friends before and after the ride, but we ask you not to take photos once the ride is in motion.

Do you have toilets in the VR ride event space?
There are no toilets in the event space, the nearest toilets and baby changing facilities are located nearby on level 1 opposite Sainsburys. It is advised to visit the toilet before entering.

Can we eat and drink on the ride?
We ask that you do not eat or drink while on the ride or in the event space.

I have left something, where will it be?
All items that are left behind will be kept safe by our ride operator until the end of the day, after this it will be taken to Customer Service team to be looked after until you come back.

Is there wheelchair access?
Unfortunately, there is not wheelchair access for this ride and there are multiple small steps to enter the cart. However, if you wish to sit at the aside of the ride and use the VR headset then you are more than welcome to do this.

What should I expect from the VR ride
Once you have purchased your pass to ride either online or via the ticket desk please queue up and wait your turn to board the cart
• Make sure if you have any personal belongings, bags, or loose items that these are stored safely away from the ride before boarding.
• You will be given your pre ride talk and headsets by the ride operator
• The ride journey will last a total of 5 minutes
• Once the ride is complete, please remain seated until the ride operator has collected all the headsets
• Collect your belongings and try and enjoy the rest of your day

Can I ride if I get motion sickness?
If you are prone to any of the following: motion sickness, vertigo, epilepsy or have a history of seizures we suggest that you may want to join the ride without the headset, we also advise you sit at the front of the ride.

Can I stand next to the ride while my friends/family are on it?
No, you cannot approach the ride while it is in motion, please make sure you stand clear until the ride has finished

I wear glasses can I wear these under the headsets?
Yes, the headsets can be adjusted to fit your comfortably, meaning there will be plenty of room to keep your glasses on underneath them.

If I am no longer enjoying the ride, can it be stopped?
In the case of an emergency the ride can be stopped, we would suggest taking off your headset and talking to the ride operator. Do not stand up or leave the ride while it is in motion

My child has disabilities, can they enjoy the experience?
Yes, of course! We understand that some children might have some special requirements so we are happy to adapt the VR sleigh ride in any way we can to make sure everyone can enjoy this experience together. Whether that is not using the VR headset or not sitting on the sleigh itself we will adapt to best suit your child's needs, please speak to a member of staff.
